I came across this post through a search for an "uncertainty" image, but found so much more. Thank you for sharing this. I needed to hear much of it, and really reflect on it. I'm trudging through a difficult phase in my life, and I love when you say "Sometimes I think that the whole point is just to spend time with our Dad!" Anyway, I just wanted to thank you.

It makes some people feel good when thy know full well they couldn't do it. They wouldn't even attempt it. We should be celebrating , like you said, that someone is willing to put their fire into their craft. In singing you always say, "Just go for it." If you reach for it to be safe, you often end up flat. If you go for, you might crack but you also might be glorious.

I totally agree, Johnnie! And to be clear, I have no problem with Bulls fans cheering the dunk; they should! I just can't stand the ridiculing of Wade! He's a hero (as much as people playing a game can be) in my book! Very inspirational! :)

Awesome. I totally loved that dunk, but did not consider I was celebrating somone's failure. I love sports, but we do need to stop being armchair quarterbacks. Makin me think.....don't like it. :)

Oh...and Chris...I don't know you (I don't think), but I liked your blog MUCH better than the link you left (though it wasn't bad, either). So for those that want more LOST, check out Chris' series philosophy/summary...VERY insightful and fun!

I agree with his synopsis of the finale in terms of explaining what we saw, but not at all with his "it was as good as could be expected" conclusion. Too many important questions were unanswered. And still, days later, the flash sideways was just corny and stupid. What was the point of Jack's son? There were SO MANY little intricacies in the flash sideways that were just ignored or glossed over, proving that the writers either DIDN'T KNOW how they were going to tie everything together, or they just DIDN'T CARE as long as the viewers were confused and/or intrigued along the way. I think the writers started reading their own press clippings. :(

More glaring questions:
"Adam and Eve" weren't laying together when Jack and Kate found them. But Jacob had laid them together. How'd they get moved? Jack said their clothes deterioration revealed that they had been dead 40 or 50 years. Clearly that timeline doesn't work, proving once again that the writers didn't really know how they were going to tie everything together...they were just shooting from the hip and hoping we wouldn't notice the inconsistencies.
